Masai Mara National Reserve is situated in south-west Kenya and is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. The Reserve stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. Add the conservancies and the area is at least twice the size. It hosts over 95 species of mammals and over 570 recorded species of birds.The gentle rolling hills and plains make spotting wildlife very easy. Over 450 varieties of birds have been recorded out of which as many as 57 are birds of prey! The rivers Mara and Telek intersect the reserve and they are full of hippos and crocodiles. The banks of the rivers are covered in thick forest that gradually makes way for bush and grassland. The Masai Mara is actually contiguous to the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park and has the largest collection of wild animals in the whole of Africa.

Itineraries
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Time : 7:00 am
Transfer from Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
This Journey starts from Nairobi in the early morning, making a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for brief photoshoots, then proceeds down southwest to the World's renowned the Masai Mara National Reserve the Theatre of Wildebeest Migration, and offers a wide range of action-packed events of abundant Wild animals and a lot of bird species, not forgetting the vast beautiful plain savannah. Also as an optional activity on the list to do is the visit to the Maasai Cultural villages and a taste of a 1 hour early morning Balloon safari with bush Champaign breakfast at the landing point amongst other captivating activities found in the vast Mara Ecosystem. You will arrive for Lunch and Check-in at the Lodge/Camp. Afternoon at leisure then proceed for a 2 hours game viewing activity later in the afternoon. Return to the Lodge/Camp for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
Time : 7:30 am
Full Day safari within the Mara Reserve
After an early morning Breakfast, depart for a full day game drive with packed lunch. Brief picnic lunch stop in the wilderness. Proceed with the afternoon game viewing and enjoying the beautiful sceneries. There is also a possibility to visit the Masai Village and experience their well preserved cultural heritage at an extra fee. Later return to the Lodge/Camp for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Time : 7:30 am
Transfer from Mara to Nairobi
After an early morning breakfast, check-out of the Lodge/Camp and depart the Reserve with enroute game drive as you exit to head back to Nairobi. Make a brief lunch break along the way, payments direct. Arrive back in Nairobi in the late afternoon and transfer to either the Airport or Hotel.

The trip was great overall. The cruise itself was amazing. Going to Masai Mara was probably the best thing ever . A balloon safari over the Mara is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As you ascend, beautiful features unfold before your eyes: rolling hills, meandering rivers,,, . The Bald Eagles around were amazing. It was impressive. The food was very good. Overall it was a great vacation and definitely my best. Am happy I did it and I’d recommend it to anyone. I’m trying to get them to think about next December holiday vacation.
